MITCHELDEAN FESTIVAL CONCERT

SHOWCASE CONCERT KICKS OFF MITCHELDEAN’S ANNUAL FESTIVAL
The 2023 Mitcheldean Festival takes place on the third weekend in July but the event will be kick-started on Saturday 17th June with the first of three scheduled showcase concerts.
With free entry and starting at 7.00pm in The Lamb Inn, this four-hour musical extravangaza will reflect a wide range of musical genres: local band The Violet Crows start the evening sharing great tunes with big hooks. The concert also features ambient flamenco from Bristol based Khalo After Frida, beautiful harmonies from The Pocket Choral Society and Humbugs, songwriters Sue Skinner, William Keeble and Karl Jennings, and duos Lightly Twned and Rebil, who perform traditional and contemporary songs. Syncopated prog-folk from Clint Mann and John Davis will close the concert, which is scheduled to finish at 11.00pm.
