At this relaxed event, meet local author Sarah Franklin and hear all about her literary work.
Sarah Franklin is the author of two novels set in the Forest of Dean: Shelter (2017) and How To Belong (2020).
She was a judge for the Costa Short Story Prize from 2015-2022. In 2011, she wrote a piece about the Forest of Dean and the government’s proposed sell-off for The Guardian, and has also written for publications including The Irish Times, the Seattle Times, Conde Nast Traveller, Women and Home and Psychologies.
Sarah is a Senior Lecturer at the Oxford International Centre for Publishing at Oxford Brookes University, and in a previous life worked at publishing houses in London, Seattle and Dublin.
Sarah grew up in the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire, where her heart still lies. After stints all over the place she currently lives halfway between Oxford and London with her family.
