This may be the last day in this place.
Max may have been in this place for some time. And today, Max will pull us deeper into the intimate world he shares with his bird on his trampoline. This world is a tender, heart-breaking world. A world filled with strange sounds, echoes of the past, and perhaps an idea of the future?
Comic, absurd, surreal, Anyday explores the archaeology of loneliness with light, darkness and ultimately joy.
Set to an original score by Matt Huxley, Anyday is a charming tale that transmutes the clangs and boings of unbearable hope to make our spirits soar.
‘The kiddos loved (…) watching Max Calaf Sevé performing on the trampoline – he was their absolute favourite performer of the evening!’
Treacle Mums at The Lost Carnival
‘Yesterday’s grey skies didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the more than 1,300 who gathered at Spanish Arch to watch the final performance of Any Day by Catalan trampoline artist Max Calaf Sevé. He began with traditional tramp props – a battered suitcase and heavy coat – and progressed to a virtuoso acrobatic display that included trying to drink water from a plastic pint glass in mid-bounce, with delightfully splashy results.’
Arminta Wallace, Irish Times
‘The incredible circus artist and trampoline acrobat Max Calaf Sevé’
Staffordshire News
‘Using the trampoline as a playground to represent life: sometimes it’s great, sometimes it’s hard and it’s always dangerous.’
