Spring Equinox Celebration
March 23 @ 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm
A Spring Equinox Pageant will be taking place at Bells Field, Coleford on March 23rd 2024.
A colourful ensemble of giant figures, banners, costumes and flags made by local schools, community groups and individuals representing Spring will make its way around the field.
Everybody is welcome to watch or to join in. The idea is for communities to get together to welcome the longer days of light after the short darker days of Winter.
There will be some dancing and singing to entertain along the way, and at the end of the route we will be scattering wildflower seeds and planting a new tree in the wildlife meadow to mark the renewal and regrowth of life.
Free for everyone to attend, 12noon – 2pm
This is a relaxed performance. This venue is wheelchair accessible and has council-run public toilets, including a wheelchair accessible toilet This is a standing event. There is a small amount of parking at the field, blue badge holders will take priority. Further parking available on the residential streets nearby.
