D-Day Commemoration Event 9th June Mitcheldean

June 9 All day

The Red Devils will be parachuting into Mitcheldean as part of an event to commemorate 80 years since D-Day. The Royal Navy P Commando Reenactment Group will be performing, and the Innsworth Military Wives Choir will be singing. There will also be Parades of Standards by Royal British Legion Sections and Reserve Forces and by Cadet Youth Organisations, Sea Cadets, the Air Training Corps and the Army Cadet Force. Additionally, there will be 1940s vehicles and music and a wartime environment experience with a quarter size landing craft. Alongside the event, local schools are involved in English, History, Art and Drama projects. For more information traceycruickshank@ymail.com
