Creative by Nature – Arts on Prescription course

If you are  living with mental health and/or chronic pain challenges,  you could qualify for a FREE 10-session Artlift course at Artspace, Cinderford. Participants get together for 2-hour sessions and also benefit from one-to-one conversations with the Artist Facilitator, Lisa, to work on a personalised plan through which to get and stay creative. The course is open to those aged 18+ registered with a Gloucestershire GP. To apply, go to the following website pages and download a ‘Create Well’ form if you are living with mental health issues or a ‘Living Well with Chronic Pain’ form.

Lisa will help you explore your creative side using Nature as a focal point. Using our beautiful countryside and music as inspiration, you will be given the chance to explore many art mediums such as leaf-print clay work, dream-catcher making using willow, cyanotype photo processes, using nature as tools and papier-mache modelling. You do not need any previous experience using these processes as these will be gentle, inclusive sessions for all abilities, using simple and easy to follow techniques and for those more confident in their ability to create, the opportunity to explore new ideas in more depth, should you wish.
